about suzanne

Chicago, Illinois based artist Suzanne Stewart is a creative who loves to paint, teach, and collaborate on art projects.

Botanicals and abstract paintings are the focus of her latest collections. Suzanne has been excited to branch out into murals this year and completed four. Her first wall mural was a private commission in Fl. and is a botanical abstract. Next she participated in Uptown Art Week 2022 with 2 murals, one at Aldi 4500 N Broadway in collaboration with First Sip Cafe, and the other was painted live at Everybody's Coffee and is now displayed at Graceland Walls Art Project, both which were organized by Uptown United. She also has worked on numerous large collaborative installations and art series in the Uptown Neighborhood over the years.  Proud to win the grant for the Northcenter's Art Program she painted a large brightly colored tropical mural in Northcenter's Town Square. Suzanne has always had a passion for creating, color, ,nature, and being resourceful with the materials at hand. These passions were first shared to her by her artistically talented mother and grandmother.  She is thankful for the ways God has used art in her life and is excited to use what she has learned to share that joy and knowledge with others. 

 

Currently, Suzanne has a fantasic studio in Northcenter and is teaching art there and at Pilgrim Lutheran School. She working to create new pieces and connections.
